Welcome Letter

December 9, 2011

West Texas State Bank and the Fort Stockton staff of Guaranty Bond Bank proudly welcome you as one of the newest West Texas State Bank customers in Pecos County! As stated in the press release that was published in September, West Texas State Bank is acquiring Guaranty Bond Bank’s Fort Stockton location, together with all deposit accounts and certain loans. When the acquisition closes on Friday, January 13, your account agreement with Guaranty Bond Bank will continue with West Texas State Bank, providing you the same rights you now have.

West Texas/Permian Basin locations: West Texas State Bank has served West Texas since 1937 and is a strong, well-managed, independent community bank. You will be provided with a more convenient network of bank locations to choose from in the Permian Basin. West Texas State Bank currently has five locations in West Texas and is expanding its branch network to include a third location in Odessa. West Texas State Bank and the Fort Stockton staff will work to offer the very best in banking products and the personal service you have become accustomed to.

Changes to operating hours: To limit the inconvenience to you while transferring all records over the weekend, the lobby and the drive-in lanes will close at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13. The drive-in will be closed on Saturday, January 14. Transactions received after 2:00 p.m. on January 13 will be processed the following business day. West Texas State Bank will open the Fort Stockton location on Tuesday, January 17, with the following hours of operation:

Lobby Drive-In
Mon-Thurs 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday 8 a.m. -12 noon

Account numbers: Your account number will not change unless it matches an existing West Texas State Bank account number. In this unlikely event, we will notify you.

Updated routing number: Because Guaranty Bond Bank will continue to serve its customers in the East Texas area, the bank’s routing number (located in the bottom left-hand corner of your checks) will change. The new routing number is 112321839. If you have set up automated payments/drafts to third parties, such as utility companies, you need to provide them with your new routing number or a new voided check.

New checks and debit cards: You will receive new checks from Deluxe Corporation FREE OF CHARGE with the new routing number no later than January 13. If you currently have a Guaranty Bond Bank debit card, you will also receive a new debit card no later than January 13.

Enclosed is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the acquisition and its effects on you, along with disclosures for all deposit accounts. If you are an online banking or bill pay customer of Guaranty Bond Bank, you will also receive instructions for logging on to West Texas State Bank’s website, including important username and password information. Once again, welcome to West Texas State Bank! If you have any questions or need any additional information, please call us or come in to any of our locations. We will be glad to assist you.
